FTP
Uploads
We have created a simplified method of transferring
your files to our Art department. We hope this will
save you time and expedite your orders. Please follow
these simple steps when transferring files to Commercial.
FOR PC USERS
-
Create a folder with a SIGNIFICANT tag (company name
or PO number) that identifies the files(s) being sent.
PLEASE NOTE:
Do not use any special characters, or put any spaces
in the tag! Please use numbers & letters only.
- Place
inside the labeled folder the following: a text file
with instructions for what you would like us to do
and/or any special preferences you have and all the
files needed to complete the order.
-
Once you have created a folder with a significant
tag and placed the appropriate files into it, compress
the folder using Stuffit (MAC), WinZip (PC) or comparable
compression software. HINT: If the compressed file
becomes too large to deal with, or if you think it
will, break your files down into smaller folders (fonts,
links, documents) and then compress them.
-
Next, click on the “Open FTP site” link,
open Windows Explorer, go to the compressed Folder’s
location, drag the compressed folder from its stored
location and drop it into the designated FTP area.
When the file is transferred, it will only copy the
file and will not remove it from its original location.

- Unfortunately,
the drag and drop feature will not work for Mac users.
You will need to use installed FTP client software
to transfer the file. (See below to download FTP software)
To reach Commercial's FTP site, you will need the
following information:
Host Address: ftp.printcbf.com
Username: cbfuploads
Password: cbfuploads
- Next,
go to the compressed Folder’s location, drag
the compressed folder from its stored location and
drop it into the designated FTP area. When the file
is transferred, it will only copy the file and will
not remove it from its original location.
